Hospital Italiano Delivers Around the Clock Patient Information to Medical Staff

Overview Hospital Italiano, one of the largest and most technologically sophisticated hospitals in Argentina, needed to improve the availability of its digital medical record systems, which some 1,500 doctors and hospital staff rely on for patient care, scientific research, and resident training. Hospital Italiano migrated its medical record systems to Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters configured on two Sun Solaris Servers. It also runs Oracle Application Server 10g on SuSe Linux using Intel equipment. Oracle Partner DATASTAR headed the migration of five core applications, which was accomplished within three months.
