Frequency Offset and I/Q Imbalance Compensation for OFDM Direct-Conversion Receivers

Overview Two types of RF front-end imperfections in direct conversion receivers, namely frequency offset and I/Q imbalance, are addressed in this paper. The I/Q imbalance not only introduces an unwanted image interference hut also degrades the accuracy of carrier estimation. This paper proposes a pilot-based scheme for both frequency offset and I/Q imbalance compensation.
