Analysis of a Partial Decorrelator in a Multicell DS-CDMA System

Overview Although the decorrelator has probably drawn more attention than any other multiuser detector, almost all studies have been for a single-cell code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system. In a CDMA system with multiple cells all using the same frequency carrier, the implementation of a decorrelating detector and its performance are not well understood. For a multicell code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system, this paper proposes a partial decorrelator that decodes a user by suppressing only the in-cell interferers.
