HP Case Study: BMW Group

Overview BMW is an internationally renowned manufacturer of prestigious cars; the company is recognized around the world. BMW runs EXA Corporation's PowerFLOW software for fluid flow simulation to enable software engineers to analyse complex fluid flow problems in car development. BMW wanted to boost the performance of PowerFLOW and looked for a superior hardware replacement for its existing SGI Origin platform. They implemented the High Performance Technical Solutions (HPTC) and HP Services Solutions.
