BEA Systems Case Study: BT Global Services
Overview BT Global Services is BT's business services and solutions division, serving customers worldwide. BT was looking to improve integration of the information held within the systems in order to build greater understanding of the businesses it serves internationally. The company also needed to reduce manual intervention and accelerate time to market through harmonised systems and processes. Working with BEA made perfect sense. Firstly, because there was a history of successful integration experience using BEA WebLogic Platform at BT Wholesale, another line of business within BT. Secondly, because there are many similar parallels between BT Global Services SOE strategy and BEA's own Service-Oriented Architecture.
