Overview UGS PLM Solutions is a division within EDS. UGS PLM Solutions specializes in product lifecycle management. As a leader in the market of product life management, PLM works with large and medium-sized clients on all continents. Their regional sales and distribution teams often develop their own sales and support tools. The tools previously generated a report that was manually inserted into the backend systems. However, there was a need to automate the process and maintain a high level of security. Software Architects developed a solution based on Enterprise Java Beans and Web Services. A service architecture was developed that utilized stateless session beans for business services.
