Meijer Inc. Shops for File Services With Higher Standards and Rings Up Super-Combo HP NAS-SAN

Overview In 70 years, Meijer Inc. has grown from a corner grocery store in the midst of the Depression to one of the largest privately held companies today. Over time, Meijer realized that it was extremely costly and ineffective to support and upgrade multiple configurations on more than 150 distributed file servers spread out in numerous company locations. The Midwest retail chain is migrating a large file-serving environment to an HP network-attached storage/storage area network (NAS-SAN) combination. An HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array 3000 (EVA3000) supports two HP StorageWorks NAS B3000 systems running Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003.
