Croydon Council, Capgemini and HP Help to Redefine Local Government

Overview Local government organisations in the UK have embarked on a new phase in their development. Croydon Council is the local authority responsible for Croydon. Croydon Council wanted to respond to government initiatives and changing customer expectations by reviewing its approach to service delivery. It needed to manage and organize its business to deliver more customer-focused services. Croydon Council launched a new initiative that comprised process re-engineering, outsourcing, and the installation of an entirely new hardware and software platform. To implement this initiative, the council awarded a seven-year contract to Capgemini. Capgemini brought in HP as a strategic technology partner that could provide the customer with a secure, reliable, flexible technology platform.
