HP Produces Revved-Up Storage Solution for Swiss Automation Specialist

Overview Komax AG is succeeding in a fast-moving automation products market by offering solutions today that satisfy customer needs tomorrow. While the advanced automation pro was on track with novel products, its information-technology staff needed to overcome a derailment of the growing direct-attached storage (DAS) environment. The company aimed to implement a flexible storage solution that would accommodate future expansions, meet higher business demands, and leverage current infrastructure investments. HP Services and HP reseller Comicro-NetSys assisted Komax in deploying a storage area network (SAN) incorporating the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array 5000 (EVA5000), HP ProLiant DL380 servers, HP OpenView Storage Area Manager, and HP StorageWorks Command View EVA.
