HP FAS Streamlines Quality Control for World's Top Helicopter Firm
Overview Eurocopter is the world's leading manufacturer of civil and military helicopters used for VIP and passenger transport, rescue and police missions, offshore operations and special military needs. Quality control is vitally important on the assembly lines of world leading helicopter manufacturer Eurocopter. The company's many quality inspectors generated mountains of paperwork which takes a lot of time to process and is open to mistakes. Eurocopter needed a more efficient solution for capturing, processing and actioning the data. Quality inspectors now use HP FAS (Forms Automation System) and Digital Pen and Paper to record quality issues. Forms are printed with pictures of the appropriate helicopter to make it easier to pinpoint problems. The information is automatically uploaded onto Eurocopter's Intranet.
