HP Helps Rome's Police Force to Respond More Quickly

Overview The Police Department of the Municipality of Rome needed to respond more quickly to reported incidents. It also needed more effective planning and coordination so that resources could be deployed optimally. To achieve these aims, it was necessary to replace the existing IT infrastructure. The Police Department engaged HP to implement a new infrastructure based on HP Integrity rx2600 servers and an HP StorageWorks EVA 3000 system in a SAN configuration. It chose to standardise on open source software and the Linux operating system. To ensure high availability, the infrastructure is supported by HP Business Continuity Services.
