HP Integrity Servers Enable Astra Motor III to Run SAP Solution With Improved Efficiency
Overview PT. Astra International Tbk was established in 1957 as a general trading company based in Jakarta. Astra Motor III (ASMO III) is a subsidiary of Astra International. ASMO III has recently been developing small cars aimed at creating a new segment in the Indonesian market. They were facing the challenge of inflexible legacy systems created reliance on one brand, maintain quality of service, while increasing automobile manufacturing and distribution, back up operation to protect overall IT infrastructure and change user behavior and discipline in using IT facilities. The solution was Intel Itanium 2-based HP Integrity servers, SAP R/3 (Enterprise Resource Planning) and 24x7 continuous support for highest level of hardware and O/S failure protection.
