Copper Mountain's VantEdge Broadband Services Concentrator (BSC) provides the industry's first intelligent access solution specifically designed to reduce the cost of delivering high-revenue services. To implement the VantEdge design, Copper Mountain chose a modular, standards-based platform that features Intel IXP1250 network processors for high-speed packet processing and flexible programmability. The platform also incorporates a CompactPCI-compliant compute/control subsystem featuring the Intel Pentium III processor-Low Power.
