BYU Hawaii Seeks to Satisfy Job Market Demand for Linux Skills by Offering Red Hat Academy

Overview Brigham Young University Hawaii (BYUH) is home to nearly 2,500 students from more than 70 different countries. The challenge was to educate its computer technology students to be highly qualified and experienced in the use of Linux and to prepare its graduates to effectively compete in the workforce. The solution was the Red Hat Academy. The benefits of Red Hat Academy were higher quality courses due to more thorough labs and instruction, more practicum built into each course and marked improvements seen through the offering of more structure.
