Outsourcing White Papers

Production Workflow Solutions Consulting Service

Overview For a large East Coast financial services firm, document production had become unwieldy and expensive. Over time, the firm had accumulated more than 5,000 pieces of equipment to support this function, and much of it was obsolete, underutilized, and expensive to maintain. Faced with managing this hodge-podge of multi-vendor equipment spread over multiple locations, the firm chose outsourcing as a way to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Pitney Bowes Management Services (PBMS) had an existing relationship with the firm, managing 300 machines at numerous locations. Impressed by PBMS's willingness to recommend equipment from a variety of vendors and its expertise in fleet asset and electronic document management, the firm turned document production over to PBMS.
