Office of Government Commerce

Overview The Office of Government Commerce -OGC- has been set up to lead a wide-ranging programme to modernise procurement in UK government, and deliver substantial value for money improvements. Two pilot projects are currently being undertaken by OGC: an eTendering pilot and an eProcurement pilot. The eTendering pilot makes it possible to process electronic tenders. It goes from the electronic publication of the notice until the receipt and opening of the tenders. The eProcurement pilot aims at automating the procurement of low value goods. It will test different solutions and involves 3 providers.
