Dynamic Graphics and Multimedia for Web Applications: Developing With Macromedia Generator and Microsoft Active Server Pages

Overview This paper describes the basic architecture of Macromedia Generator software. It describes the motivation for using this technology. The six brief tutorial sections, with accompanying code samples, provided in this paper demonstrate the basic operation of the Generator server. These code samples may be run on a Microsoft Windows NT Server system (version 4 with Service Pack 5) with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4 or 5 (Windows 2000 online) and Macromedia Generator 2 Developer Edition or Enterprise Edition server installed.
