Overview T-Systems, a member of the Deutsche Telekom Group, is an Italian company. The company manages Datawarehouses on behalf of customers, supporting applications, LAN administration and telecommunications services. Using Sun Enterprise 10000 machines and an Oracle database, T-Systems has integrated key applications of the group, which includes Banco Ambrosiano, Cariplo and Comit. The advantages to T-Systems from the use of the Sun-Oracle platform are both technical and managerial. From a technical point of view, T Systems can use the capacity of these systems in a dynamic manner, by associating the applications with system resources (CPU, RAM memory, input-output band-width in varying percentages according to the use.
