IBM Case Study: Falke Bank

Overview Founding a bank is a major undertaking. Gone are the days when a sack of gold, knowledge of human nature and employees in the "bad debts" department were all you needed to start a banking business. This, then, was the challenge faced by Falke Bank AG, which commenced operations in Dusseldorf on 1 October 2000. It soon became apparent to the banking experts who got together to found the bank that this was a job for specialists - not least financing specialists. IBM virtually acted as technical project manager. And the whole project was financed through IBM Global Financing.
