Althams Chooses XKO to Provide the Best Customer Service
Overview The Atkinson family owned the largest builders' merchants in the North West for 100 years and recently sold its business to the Woolsey Group. The Atkinsons then bought Althams, which was itself very well known in the North East. Their biggest challenges as a business are expansion and competing with large corporate DIY outfits that offer the same products as they do. Customer service is their key differentiator and they needed an IT system that would help them maintain the personal touch. They particularly wanted a supplier that was large enough to have continued investment in research and development, so the software could grow with them as they expanded. XKO fitted the bill perfectly and they purchased its Xeres solution in 2001.
