Overview U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center ERDC) Major Shared Resource Center (MSRC), managed as part of the Department of Defense-wide high performance computing capability provided by the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). They wanted to provide scientists and engineers with immediate access to the best high performance computing hardware and software expertise in the industry and create an IT environment that supports the objective of providing the soldier in combat, through the use of technology, a compelling unrivaled advantage. They implemented Two HP AlphaServer Supercomputer systems with full-time on-site HP support expertise.
