Sendmail Case Study: Regional Wireless Service Provider

Overview One of the wireless service providers in the Middle East is deploying General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) in 2002 as a complement to its wireless offerings. The challenge was to build innovative Internet services to differentiate its wireless offerings: secure, robust, and cost-effective local language email and mobile messaging capabilities. HP and Sendmail implemented Sendmail's Integrated Mail Suite (IMS), a complete, proven, end-to-end email solution that includes high-availability ProLiant servers, Sendmail software, and comprehensive installation and support services. The platform provides a firewall server, mobile message servers, clustered message servers, storage arrays with full redundancy, and messaging switches to route the incoming and outgoing email to the right places.
