Hitachi Data Systems Technicians Working With BlackBerry Cut Reaction Times by 50 Per Cent

Overview In the past, if a customer reported a fault, the Hitachi Data Systems call centre advised the technician by telephone. He made brief contact with the customer, but had to go back to base to log into the Hitachi Data Systems Intranet. Nowadays, no matter where he is, the technician uses his BlackBerry to log into the Intranet when he gets an emergency call. It uses GPRS transmission technology and the Swisscom Mobile network. Its technicians get their information as fast as possible and can give customers professional advice in minutes.
