Evaluation of IPv6 Simulation Using OPNET IPv6 Model Suite
Overview This paper is a study of the IPv6 issues using the OPNET IPv6 model suite. An introduction of IPv6 current status is presented at first. Following, it introduces the IPv6 models about stack, address configurations, IPv6 static routes, RIPng. Several scenarios including ICMPv6 Route Print, Manual IPv6 Tunnel, IPv6 6to4 Tunnel, Multi Tiered Application and RIPng Link Failure Recovery are discussed and configured. Then, it discusses the issues in implementation and deployment of the IPv6 network, including applications supported in IPv6, routing protocol, IPv6 tunnel and the role of the IPv6 model. Finally, simulation of National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) campus and the results in IPv6 network are presented.
