Quickly Cloning Oracle Applications Release 11i With EMC SnapView

Overview EMC and Oracle share thousands of mutual customers who require a reliable shortcut to building and refreshing cloned Oracle Applications 11i environments for activities such as testing, reporting, loading data warehouses, and supporting disaster protection. Oracle and EMC provide a joint method for cloning an online 11i application installation including the Oracle RDBMS, application (Web) server, developer server, applications (Business Logic), and database instance. A simple, tested script procedure is presented that may be used for cloning an Oracle Applications environment to a local CLARiiON on Sun Solaris platform.
