Model Driven Architecture, Embedded Developers and Rhapsody
Overview Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is an approach to using models in software development including the writing of specifications and the actual developing of applications that allows the functionality and behavior of the system to be separated from implementation details. This enables the application to be easily ported from one environment to another by first creating one or more platform independent models (PIM) that are later translated into one or more platform specific models (PSM). MDA is being developed to include a broad range of concepts in order for it to apply to all manner of software development projects including electronic commerce, financial services, healthcare, aerospace and transportation.
