Writing Custom Agents in WebInspect

Overview Custom agents typically fall into one of two categories: those that examine existing session information for key criteria, and those that make new requests to the web application, thus creating new sessions. Agents that create new sessions are usually based on the iteration of sessions, making them extremely similar to the first type of agent. Therefore, for the purposes of learning the WebInspect Custom Agent API and writing custom agents in general, this paper deals specifically with the first type of agent - one that iterates through the site tree, examining each session for particular criteria.
