Bowneboosts Productivity, With "Bang for the Buck" Color Printers

Overview Bowne & Co., Inc., is the United States' oldest and largest financial printer, founded in 1775. At their 50+ satellite sites, about 150 office printers produce 50,000 to 1 million pages per month for Bowne's clients to review. Bowne needed printers that are fast and reliable, can duplex, offer a booklet printing format and have close-to-perfect color matching. Bowne had used Canon, QMS and Ricoh printers in the past for its pre-press needs. Then Xerox chose Bowne to be a beta customer for its Phaser 7300 color printer. The Phaser 7300 allowed Bowne to produce 11"x17" and 12"x18" color proofs of clients' documents that were very close to the way these documents would look when they are printed on the offset printing presses.
