Overview The Emergency Management Council advises the Adjutant General and the Governor on all matters pertaining to state and local emergency preparedness. Its main objective is to Assess hazards, vulnerabilities, threats, and status of local and state preparedness, Coordinate and synchronize state and local emergency management planning and activities to include compliance with state and federal laws, Recommend improvements of state and local emergency management, Prioritize initiatives and seek external support and Serve as a forum to discuss, monitor, and support the implementation of identified initiatives.
