Ericsson Puts the UML Suite to the Test

Overview In search of an appropriate tool to improve their software development, Ericsson Nikola Tesla (ETK) in Croatia decided to put the Telelogic Tau UML Suite to the test. Based on their experience, it was concluded that UML is very practical and useful for preliminary requests definition and explanation in system design. Use case and sequence diagrams are considered intuitive and comprehensible, enabling both designers and customers to check system design against predefined requirements. Even the less experienced team members had no difficulties adapting to the technique.
