PinnacleHealth System Outsources Printing Services, Saving Money and Creating Economies of Scale
Overview PinnacleHealth System, a non-profit, multi-hospital health care organization was created through the mergers of central Pennsylvania's most respected health systems. While providing the region's most comprehensive and quality-driven health care, PinnacleHealth ended with financial losses due to increasing costs and decreasing reimbursements. As a result, senior management decided to move forward with a multi-million dollar cost-saving initiative. The solution was a combination of hardware and software. PinnacleHealth standardized on multi-functional document centers that gave the system the ability to copy, scan, print and fax. In addition to providing the health care system's document centers, Xerox worked with PinnacleHealth to establish and manage an in-house print shop.
