Automatic Print Distribution and High-Speed PDL Conversions

Overview Knoxville Utility Board (KUB) provides nine Tennessee counties with gas, electric, water, and sewer services. Converting PCL and Xerox mainframe data was only one-third of what KUB was looking for. They also needed host to printer connectivity, without application changes, and automated distribution of all the various reports. The solution was Print/Director. An important aspect of Print/Director was its user-friendly GUI interface. Even the most seemingly advanced tasks were accomplished with no programming. Print/Director worked around printer problems that allowed the other vendors to accomplish things on their printers that they had not been able to do before.
