ITIL White Papers

The Adoption of ITIL in Large Enterprises

Overview The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a set of standards that define best practices for IT service management. The promise of ITIL is increased efficiency in the management of IT resources and delivery of IT services. With industry watchdogs Gartner and Forrester Research both predicting a rapid increase in ITIL adoption in 2005, the TechRepublic Community Research Team conducted a survey to determine the state of ITIL adoption among North American organizations and to learn what barriers currently impede ITIL adoption. This informative report presents the findings of that TechRepublic original research.
