White Paper: Load Balancing in Cisco Mobile Exchange
Overview Introducing Cisco IOS SLB and/or Cisco CSM into a Cisco Mobile Exchange solution allows a service provider to meet current challenges while deploying a scalable, redundant, and highly available solution. The user of these technologies also ensures maximum protection against failures while maintaining user sessions in the event of a hardware failure, thus enabling Cisco Mobile Exchange as a carrier class solution. This paper describes the specific implementation of load balancing in Cisco Mobile Exchange, using Cisco IOS Server Load Balancing (SLB) and Cisco Content Switching Module (CSM) Load Balancing for scalability, availability, and redundancy.
