Oracle Flashback: Techniques for Recovering From Human Error

Overview The unpredictable nature of human error makes prevention of any sort extremely difficult. Thus, correcting these types of errors is largely an ad hoc task. Oracle Flashback technology makes this possible with a set of simple SQL queries for viewing data as it looked like at a point-in-time in the past, tracing a version history of data changes, locating changes affected by a particular transaction, and retrieving undo SQL to reverse the changes.
