Oracle Database Manages Over 4 Terabytes of Sales and Inventory Data Needed to Run Best Buy's Operations

Overview Best Buy is North America's number one specialty retailer of consumer electronics, personal computers, entertainment software, and appliances. It wanted to monitor margin analysis by product, product group, and region to determine what is moving and what factors contribute to sales and enhance its merchandising and supply chain management. Best Buy's aggressive growth plans required a data warehouse that can scale with no compromises. The Oracle Database manages over 4 terabytes of sales and inventory data needed to run Best Buy's operation. Best Buy also found that running on Oracle required fewer database administrator (DBA) hours.
