Citrix Systems Case Study: Maruti Udyog Limited
Overview Maruti is the highest volume car manufacturer in Asia, outside Japan and Korea. The issues, which carried across the 1,000-strong client network, included manageability of desktop inventory, software installations and upgrades, anti-virus measures, back-up of data on client hard drives and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction efforts. In partnership with HP, a global Citrix Business Alliance Partner, MUL implemented Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server and Microsoft Windows 2000 on three Load Balanced HP Proliant Servers DL80, HP - T1010 thin clients and Windows-based PCs. A major benefit for network users is their new-found ability to log in to the network from any device and gain full access to their own desktop environment.
