Data Sharing Tracks Arizona's Criminal Element
Overview The concept of data sharing isn't a new one - it has been a source of much debate among politicians and the media. In the midst of all this commentary, one message rises above the rest: data sharing between law enforcement agencies goes a long way toward preventing crime and speeding investigations. No one knows this better than the State of Arizona. ImageWare's Crime Capture System (CCS) software enables law enforcement agencies to capture, store and retrieve digital mugshots and related booking information. The text-based booking information can either be entered directly into CCS or automatically imported from an AFIS, RMS or JMS, via a custom interface, to avoid duplicate data entry.
