West Bay Semiconductor adopted Sun MicrosystemsÂ’ new generation networked electronic design automation (EDA) computing environment. West Bay engineers found the Sun Ray ultra-thin client delivered equivalent performance to their desktops, specifically their Ultra 60 workstation. Furthermore, the company received this performance without the expense and effort of maintaining a traditional desktop system.
