Thinck! - A Hybrid Thin/Thick Client Approach to Mobile Computing

Overview Thin-client computing is an extreme form of proxying where the proxy performs all tasks on behalf of the client, and the only communication between the proxy and the client is for dumping screen data and conveying user input. The traditional benefits associated with thin-client computing include lower technology costs, easier maintenance, and reliable computing. While the above benefits are important, they are not as critical to a mobile host as the usage of two scarce resources - wireless bandwidth and battery power.
