Is It Time to Get Thin?
Overview In a thin-client environment, the server uses a software application to make the resources of the server available to clients. Clients connect to the server using a small client application or via a browser interface. Once the connection to the server is established, keyboard and mouse commands are sent to the server, and screen updates and sounds are sent back to the thin-client application, which in turn displays them to the user. No actual file transfer occurs over the thin-client connection - only the input and output information.
