Mothercare.com: Supply Chain Optimization and Customer Service
Overview Mothercare Direct comprises the Direct mail order catalogue and mothercare.com, the shopping and information website. The challenge was to develop and launch a unique shopping experience using the Internet to complement the retailer's existing store and catalogue channels. The result is mothercare.com, an "Intentions Value Network" site that exploits commerce, content, community to fulfill the product, information and advice needs of its consumers - a proposition not possible offline and customers can shop online. In launching the mothercare.com, Accenture not only helped Mothercare develop the business proposition and technology platform, but also helped to improve supply chain and customer service operations.
