RadioShack: Application Infrastructure Definition and Delivery

Overview RadioShack is one of the largest retailers of consumer electronics in the United States. With more than 7,200 stores nationwide, RadioShack had outgrown its legacy systems. The systems had become difficult to maintain and nearly impossible to enhance. They simply could not support the needs of the rapidly growing business. Accenture and RadioShack rolled out the Manugistics Transportation Management System solution to all RadioShack distribution centers. The new system monitors daily carrier performance and determines the most appropriate transportation method considering both service and cost. Service levels have improved and the cost savings from this initiative are meeting RadioShack's expectations.
