Risk Assessment Guidebook for E-Commerce/E-Government

Overview This guidebook is primarily intended to assist auditors in the planning stage of their audits. It will help auditors identify emerging e-government applications, identify the key risks associated with these applications, and assess the effect of that risk on their audit work. The Audit Guidance Committee recognizes that this guidebook can also be a valuable resource to those who design and operate e-government systems. Consideration of the risks in these projects early in their development, and incorporation of relevant control techniques, will prevent problems and increase the likelihood of a successful system.
