Performance Budgeting and Management White Papers

Measuring the Performance in E-Government

Overview This project proposes to find and track current government use of performance measures for monitoring e-government performance at the local, state and federal levels. This information can then be used by other jurisdictions to aid in their own performance measurement efforts - to the benefit of all e-government activities. This report presents research on the numbers of jurisdictions that appear to be actively engaged in using e-government performance measures and highlights several jurisdictions that represent best practices in the field based on the quality of their current efforts.
