Overview Transco is a division of National Grid Transco (NGT). An essential element in application management outsourcing is to promote knowledge transfer between the client and the supplier. In this case study, Aberdeen ex-amines how the British gas network operator Transco worked with Wipro Technologies (Wipro) to successfully transition responsibility for maintenance and support of its business-critical Shipper Services System to the global IT services supplier. It resulted in preventive maintenance, proactive monitoring, fewer outstanding service calls, fewer production incidents, repetitive processes automated and efficient, error-free business processes.
