An Identity Management Security Solution With Symark PowerPassword and Symark PowerBroker
Overview This paper addresses the identity management solution of using Symark's PowerPassword and PowerBroker security software to manage and protect company assets stored on UNIX systems. Symark PowerPassword and PowerBroker safely delegate administrative privileges (including root) and implement secure logins and strong passwords. Symark PowerPassword and PowerBroker work in tandem to protect heterogeneous UNIX systems from the threat of external attackers as well as abuse and misuse from trusted inside users. This paper demonstrates how PowerPassword and PowerBroker reduce the complexity of managing user identities and controlling access to applications across internal and external systems while controlling costs and greatly improving system security.
