AutoTrader Shifts to Network Appliance Unified Storage to Speed Buyers to the Perfect Car

Overview Trader Media is a UK publishing group specialising in the automotive sector. The incumbent infrastructure at Trader Media was not meeting the demands placed on it by the growing business. The group had suffered a number of system failures. As a result, Trader Media was unable to meet its service-level agreements. Trader Media invested in a NetApp unified storage solution that simplifies its storage infrastructure by simultaneously supporting both network-attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) data formats. As part of this solution, the company deployed NetApp storage systems at its main data centre. Trader Media mirrors data between the two sites every 15 minutes using NetApp SnapMirror software.
