Thompson Coburn Makes Network Appliance the Firm Choice for Consolidation and Disaster Recovery

Overview Thompson Coburn LLP serves clients throughout the United States. The firm's production data was spread across Microsoft Windows servers and a storage area network (SAN). The direct-attached storage was difficult to expand and required a mix of third-party mirroring software and "homegrown" replication tools for backup and recovery. The need for a better solution became especially urgent when the existing Fibre Channel SAN hit a wall in meeting the firm's redundancy requirements. Thompson selected NetApp. NetApp fabric-attached storage (FAS) systems support Microsoft SQL Server and Access databases, Exchange stores, flat files, document images, and multimedia files. Data is stored on clustered NetApp systems with SyncMirror for synchronous replication between systems.
