Dimension Data and EMC Get InTACT With ACT Government
Overview Established in 1996, the InTACT Group is a 17 person, commercial organisation operating within the ACT Government's Department of Treasury. InTACT was faced with totally captive storage. Their backup and restore infrastructure was 'creaking', backup windows were extending into business hours and Government agencies were experiencing significant downtime when additional capacity was added. A suite of EMC software was supplied and installed including SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility) for data replication, TimeFinder for reduction of backup windows, HP OmniBack for backup to a Quantum ATL P3000 Tape Library at two sites.
